This blog is a personal blog written by me to help others. The views and opinions expressed on this blog are my own. Honesty is important to me. I am a mom who is home educating my children in Ireland and sharing my experience. I am not, and do not claim to be, an expert. For questions about this blog, please contact me at ClassicalDublin [at] gmail [dot] com

I may earn a small commission for my endorsement, recommendation, testimonial and/or link to any products or services from this site.  Your purchase helps support my work in bringing you information for implementing a Classical/Charlotte Mason style home education and adapting it to use locally in Ireland, such as website fees. The website is a labour of love I spend time on to share what I have learnt and provide others with support! I trust it is helpful.

Amazon.co.uk – I am a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.co.uk.

Book Depository.co.uk – I include links for books I suggest to both Amazon and Book Depository to make it easier for you to determine which is a better option for you. Sometimes a book is available on one and not the other. Sometimes Book Depository have Memoria Press and other US school type books. Book Depository has free delivery to Ireland, however, their delivery can sometimes be a bit slower.

RightStart Math – We have always used RightStart Maths – 8 years now. I love its focus on understanding, and how it encourages hands-on learning with lots of manipulatives, including the abacus, before moving to calculating mentally. The lessons are scripted and lots of practice is with games rather than worksheets.

Beautiful Feet Books – We have loved many books recommended by Beautiful Feet Books. Previous to setting up this blog, I had bought and used their useful Literature Guides Around the World with Picture Books Part I* and Part II*, Geography Through Literature, History of the Horse and History of Science. *Note: If you are looking at Around the World with Picture Books make sure to buy the newer “special edition” version of the map book.  The “special edition” has a few extra maps including a two-page map of Ireland. (Amazon UK)

My daughter has done many enjoyable classes for fun and learning with Outschool including the Nature Journal course with Pam Knudson and poetry, painting and Shakespeare classes with Astrid Turner.
